As a medical practitioner, a board-certified OBGYN, and owner of Visionary Women’s Health Clinic, Dr. Gueye-Weinstein enters the scene of medical practices with a new way of approaching women’s Health. We are all familiar with the typical model where women see an OBGYN for their pregnancies but when an issue arises outside of their pregnancy years, they often complain that these same offices don’t give them the same amount of time or simply dismiss their symptoms unless they are life-threatening. ” I realized in my former group practice that I was spending the majority of my time managing pregnant women and the health of their babies and was given very little time to diagnose, treat, educate, and properly care for women who are not pregnant. When I found myself running late nights in the office and a large number of women started speaking up about feeling unheard on social media and at social gatherings, I decided that it was time for a change,” says Dr. Gueye-Weinstein.
Visionary Women’s Health was opened in 2020 in Columbia MD and is a women’s health practice that goes above and beyond what you’re used to. It offers comprehensive preventative care, access to holistic options as well as functional gynecology, and the management of all common and complex gynecology cases seen in women. Patients who become concierge members receive a 365-day nutrition plan, exercise recommendation sleep, stress, hormone, and stress management plan as well as any supplement recommendations that could transform their health. Eventually, Dr. Gueye-Weinstein and the Visionary team would like to expand their center to include a wellness wing where meditation, exercise classes, nutrition, mental health and an after-hour urgent care center just for women can be included. She states that women who present to the emergency room with complaints related to their menstrual cycle after hours are often at the bottom of the urgency triage list and have to often wait over 8 hours to be seen by a physician.

The vision doesn’t stop there. The center offers a truly calming environment, non-rushed visits, and easy access to providers when needed for insurance-only patients as well we concierge patients. Concierge patients can schedule an appointment for the same or the next day, and reach out to the doctor any time of the day.
By addressing the root causes of problems, the Visionary Women’s Health approach to healthcare is about getting to the heart of the patient’s problem. Dr. Gueye also coaches her patients through emotional wellness and has found that doing so often creates drastic improvements in a patient’s health, for those who are interested.
