Growing up Joanne has prioritized acquiring as much working experience as possible and made it her mission goal to climb the corporate ladder. Throughout high school and university, she has always maintained a full-time job working 40-50 hours per week. She recognized experience was an important asset for the foundation of her future career. However, she quickly realized, the corporate world was not for her. She recognized many flaws and she wanted to revolutionize the corporate culture. She started Market Lane Optical in 2017 with one simple philosophy: Love
An entrepreneur being her most genuine self and treating her peers with love and respect created a chain reaction that set off a domino effect of positive and strong properties. Clients and patients feed off this energy whether it comes from the optometrists, opticians and/or staff members, each individual plays a vital part in forming her idealization of positive culture and ambiance. Joanne truly believes success starts with the team and in turn it translates into excellent customer service, unconventional patient care and quality products.

Being an independent retailer of high-end, fashionable eyewear, Market Lane Optical has successfully attracted clientele from all across Canada and the United States. With the potential for growth all across the nation, Joanne is currently working on franchising opportunities for MLO, and has also started developing her own eyewear brand with the aim to be available all-over North America.
