Bio: As a young White House spokesman, Dickens enjoyed a front row seat for some of history’s most dramatic events such as assisting President Bush in the Oval Office the night of September 11th, performing his first briefing to White House reporters on the field at Yankee Stadium after President Bush’s famous First Pitch, traveling the world on Air Force One, and working with the Department of Defense to support the media center in Doha and Baghdad.

Dickens left the West Wing for Los Angeles where he became a crisis manager to CEO’s and many of Hollywood’s A-List celebrities before going on to become a serial entrepreneur, founding or co-founding companies in sports, entertainment, beverages, and education.

Professional Experience  

Dickens is currently the Founder and CEO of LA Golf, a pro player, anti-establishment company that is simultaneously manufacturing performance-enhancing equipment and creating a global lifestyle brand.  

Previously Dickens made a name for himself as co-founder of Marucci Sports, where as the company’s first CEO, he worked alongside founding partner Kurt Ainsworth to disrupt the baseball bat industry and ultimately displace Louisville Slugger as the number one bat in Major League Baseball (WSJ: Marucci sells to Compass for $200 Million.)

Dickens co-founded and serves as Chairman of EQtainment, creator of the Q Wunder curricula and kids show, music, and award-winning app, toys and games that teach Social and Emotional Skills (EQ). 

Dickens is also a founding investor in Change Bank, Lucky Buddha Beer, Rocky Mountain Resources, and Baton Rouge-based Regymen Fitness (was a founding board member at vRide until it was sold to Enterprise in 2016.)
